David Lyod Stauffer - Father was adopted

Do you know what your father's name was when he was born?

The only name I have ever know him by is David Lyod Stauffer. I think it's on his birth certificate too. Guess I should try to get a copy. Wow! Just saw that your my 21st cousin too! :)

I have found a birth record for him.

His name was David Lloyd Stauffer. Born January 24, 1969 in California. He died November 14, 1994 in Orange County, California. His mother's maiden name was Moore.

I did find his name associated with a Jacqueline Moore and a Kenneth Stauffer.

I do know that California keeps the original name and the biological mother's maiden name, even if a child was adopted, so it baffles me that he was adopted by Jacqueline Moore Stauffer, when it shows his biological mother was named "Moore."

Hi! Wow thank your for really looking into this! Yeah Jacqueline Moore and Kenneth Stauffer I know were his adopted parents, but his biological mom is of the surname Moore too? Whoa! The family search website shows the bio mom's surname for sure? So maybe jacqueline is blood related as well? Thanks again for all your help!!! :)

No, I wish I did. I don't even know where to begin to even find that out. I have done google searches to find adoption records, but no luck yet.
