His father's info does not show a birthdate
I have a record that Abel Heylman was born about 1650 in (Batavia) Indonesia. He was the son of Philip Heylman & claesjenTasman. Philip was born 1624 Amsterdam Holland, died 1655 in Indonesia. Married Claesjen 1648 in indonesia. Claesjen born 1627, she was daughter of Able Zaszoon Tasman & Claesjie Heydricks.
Does this answer any questions. Please email mail if you have any other information @ marjean.t@actrix.co.nz
Abel Tasman is Alex Moes' third cousin once removed's ex-husband's second great aunt's husband's great grandson's wife's niece's ex-husband's 10th great grandfather! ... via my Croatian gggreat grandfather (of all people!)
Anyway, these profiles already exist as part of the World Tree, how come you have your own separate tree Jeanette?
MP for Abel Janszoon Tasman
His daughter Claesjen Breemer
and her son Abel Heylman
Hi - I don't know how I have a separate tree!! If you look Charlotte White is my great great grandmother's mother. My g/grandmother (Hannah Hagger) married an Edward Dean in NZ. It has been said by some of my ancestors that Abel Tasman was a relation & we have been trying to work this out. . According to various trees it looks like he may have been however I am still pondering all this. Wondering if you have information about the Hagger / White family. my email is marjean.t@actrix.co.nz Abel Tasman did in fact make it to NZ & several of the ancestors did marry Maori maidens. Look forward to hearing from you.

Here are two of the Trees
Yours created in 2013

The other created in 2011
http://www.geni.com/family-tree/index/6000000013379519346
I've initiated merges of all four trees.
Jeanette you should receive a notification from Geni that I have requested a merge, you may also get an email.
If you accept the merge request the family tree you have created on Geni will become connected to the enormous family tree that has been created over the years by the many users of Geni working together.
You don't have to accept my request if you dont want to.
I started the merging then noticed Henn Sarv was curating some of those profiles so I tagged him to look

Good morning all, I also have a relative from the White/Tasman connection who is James Charles White 1809 to 1894 (a brother to your Charlotte Jeanette) he died in a shipwreck (Wairarapa) at Great Barrier Island NZ. Our family is searching the same connections as you are.
I found this story about Abel Tasman which has some interesting personal and family information. It states that his daughter Claesgen had children by both husbands (Philip Heylman and Jacob Bremmer). However no information can be found as to which female child married into the Dietrich line.http://gutenberg.net.au/ebooks06/0600531h.html
Allow me to enter the link yours include line at the beginning http://gutenberg.net.au/ebooks06/0600531h.html
Hi Anna, yes your right about Charlotte White's brother. I have some information re the White family not a lot. If you send me an email address I can forward what I know. I have a photocopy of Charlotte. I want to find more out about my g/father who was a child of Lily Hagger who was one of Charlotte's daughters. There is a record of the shipwreck 'Wairarapa' in the Whitianga museum. A lot of information there that I have seen. Mr gg/father is buried in the cemetery there somewhere... -Edward Dean & information about him is sparse. I think James White is also there. Lily Hagger & Edward Dean were married in the White House in Whitianga= she was 20 something & he was 40+.
All very interesting & exciting... :)
