Margaretha Hartog, SM - Margaretha Hartog - wife of Johan Casper Piek, daughter of Abraham Hartog

June, my estimates are always to be used as a guide only, unless there is evidence suggesting an age. I assume I used this date as guide, because of Maria in 1688. I haven't seen evidence indicating Maria and Margaretha were the same individual - and think Maria must have been named for her mother Maria Bellardi. I think the assumption has been made they are the same person because there is no record of Maria after her baptism, and no baptism for Margaretha (as far as we know). It would be helpful if Margaretha was named as Maria in a later record, as a witness to a baptism or at the baptism of any of her own children - but thus far have not come across any record where this occurs. So for now, I think I will keep them separate but add a note they could be the same individual. Can't help with the date of death, sorry.

Thanks Delia - if she was 19 at the time of her marriage would she have been considered to be underage? I am working on a doc. about the family/ b generation - will let you have it once it is finished. I was wondering if there was anything that links her to Abraham and Maria? I also think that they were probably two different people but it would be good if we could link her to Abraham - having said that there doesn't seem to have been another man around who could have been her father. All others seem to have arrived later.

The date of Bapt. for Anna Dorothea attributed to b2 Abraham is over 10 years before he married in 1724

Question is whether b2 Abraham was the father of 2 Maria Magdalena, gedoopt 21 Januari 1725, married Johanna Switters van Norden and that she was not his father's wife.

In SAF v 14 Abraham was the son of Anna Elisabeth [Henning] not her wife
