There is a monument in the Granville Hotel, Waterford Ireland, that is erected to Thomas Francis Meacher , wherein is scribed "The illustrious '48 Patriot was born in this house on 3rd August 1823" it quotes him saying, "With My Country I leave My Memory". The monument was erected by the Waterford National Craves Association in 1948.
