It was related to me that there was a prominent Jewish family in Spain by the name of DelMonte who fled Spain during the inquisition to Holland. When the persecutions followed them there many years later, they fled to Slovakia and adopted the name Blumenthal after the place thus called, and then spread throughout Austro-Hungary. is anyone familiar with this particular family's story?

About what time are you talking?
When do you think they were in NL ?

i don't believe that story and i don't think it's supported by facts
