Please advise

I accidentally added some family members twice and did not realize since they appeared at different ends of the tree online. When I went to correct this and delete this branch of the family at one end, the program would not allow me to remove certain people, saying these people are connected to Geni elsewhere. This is impossible - they are deceased! Please advise. Barbara

Merging them together is the correct action anyhow since they probably represent a cross-connection in the tree, - for example as a child in one part and a spouse in another part.
