Private User - IF there is a profile within your Max Extended Family with more than one manager, one of whom is not a relative of that person -- you can click "Actions" (upper right), then "Manager Options" -- it brings up the list of Managers for that Profile -- if you see an 'x" after the name, you can click it to delete that manager. [Do not click the "x" after your name, unless you want to stop being a manager!! If you do not see an 'x' after someone else's name then either a) you are not within 4th cousin of the profile (in which case you cannot kick anyone off, except yourself) OR b) the other person is within 4th cousin of the profile.] In my experience, if there is just one Manager listed, it may show an "x', but Geni will not actually delete and leave the profile manager-less.
If you mean someone is editing the profile(s) -- are they Public or Private profiles? If Public, try switching to Private - this will limit both who can edit the profile and who can see the info on it. Or is this not what you want?
This profile is from the 1700s. It was added by a Geni user a number of year ago and that person is the only manager. There are 54 descendants and thousands of relatives. He is even my 6th cousin 5 times removed.
Perhaps you are new to collaborative genealogy and Geni? These older profiles usually have many managers and descendants share older ancestors.
If you want a totally private tree without collaboration, you might look into My Heritage.

Welcome to Geni!
If you are like most new users of Geni, you have probably been looking for a place to enter, store and share genealogical data on your immediate family (and beyond) with other relatives and friends. Geni is indeed a great tool for doing that. But there are several things that you will need to know before you get too far at building your family tree here. The most important of these is the fact that Geni’s focus is on Collaboration and sharing for the purpose of working toward the ultimate goal of creating a single, accurate family tree that connects all of our users (with no duplicates).

That said, welcome to Geni.com. :D
Currently, Private User, I have you "blocked" from being a friend, because I felt you were "kind of" hostile in the way you approached me via discussions. However, I will go ahead and unblock you, and you can send a request to collaborate with me and I can send you management of the profile.
There are going to be NUMEROUS profiles that you are descended from that you don't currently manage. It's not that crucial, so long as it is accurate. I'll remove you from my block list, now.
Re: "Currently, MM, I have you "blocked" from being a friend, because I felt you were "kind of" hostile in the way you approached me via discussions." --
Think this demonstrates several things. First, it makes clear that MM did try to contact the manager of the profile -- and failed to get a good response.
I think we all should understand that when a geni-user trips over something they see as offensive or upsetting, especially if they are new or unsophisticated in the ways of geni, their contact may sound hostile -- in many cases, they may express themselves in ways that are way more negative than sounding "kind of hostile" -- and I think we should bend over backwards to discover what has upset them, helping them to calm down and discuss it, etc. -- rather than ignoring or blocking them.
Glad Geni has these Public Discussions as another source folks can turn to for help, and that this apparently got an acceptable resolution.
