How can Thomas Bowne, born 1595, be the son of Sir Anthony Browne, died 1592?

I too, am asking the same question? Why is his last name Bowne and not Browne?

I agree. I have tried to get him off the tree, but this side was added by someone else. I blocked him but the tree is still up. I thought blocking someone would also block their tree from being added to yours, but sadly it doesn't. Thank God for Ancestry.com. One can change anything there.

If I may help?

- it's all one tree on Geni. Ancestry & MyHeritage are separate trees

ATTENTION curators please assist

- also you can use "contact manager" and suggest the correction

I am glad to help with this family but I would ask YOU guys to share a link to a good source so we can work together to straighten it out.

(ps all "block" does is stop communication, not very helpful)

Alexandra Chèrie Ann we can disconnect from your area but i need to know which exact profile to cut the connection, please.

It's the master profile: Sr. Anthony Browne 1537- 1581. Added by Henn Sarv on 08/06/2007.

The small bit of source listed in the About Me for Thomas Bowne, http://fam.eastmill.com/f44.htm#f23384 , doesn't not match with the Geni profile. I'm guessing a possible bad merge, but must have been 2011 or earlier.

Neither child listed at that source match with the children on Geni. There does happen to be two names that match, but the rest of the data does not. More source data will need to be found to untangle this mess.

We can disconnect from "bottom up,". Look at the children?

7/18/2015 at 1:14 PM

Ok even easier. the children of

Sir Anthony Browne

Are listed in https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Anthony_Browne,_1st_Viscount_Montagu

Two sons - Anthony & John, 3 daughters. No one going to America.

I will disconnect the extra children now, including Thomas Bowne.
