Henry Nathan (c.1818-1896) can't possibly be the son of Jacob Henry Nathan, b. 1856. It seems Henry was from Baden (quite possibly Karlsruhe) and a German immigrant, perhaps not at all closely related to the English Nathans. This would suggest that Matilda's father came from outside. Whatdo the Mosses, the Nathans and the Levys think—or has all that already been resolved? (Jeremy Nathan)
