While there are narrative references to Matthew Gilbert, I don't believe that there is any proof that Matthew Gilbert was on the Hector ship passenger manifest.
Also I do not believe there is any proof that Matthew Gilbert was English or what city he originated from.
But the initial DNA evidence could support an English origin.
