I read today that Charles Mosely has died. For those who are not familiar with his work, he was one of the leading figures in the study of British noble genealogies.

He had a colorful life.
I was particularly pleased to read, "he noted that some earlier editions of Burke’s had been 'obsequious' and characterised by 'a tendency to treat family legend as historical fact'.
Typical British understatement. We're still fighting some of those old myths from Burke's.
I saw that as well, but knew I should wait for you to post it. ;)
He passed on the 5th.
Rest In Peace Charles Gordon Mosley.
