Anthony was inspector of customs and tax assessor
he resided on 'the Dixon place" in Newport which was built by Robert Taylor
he married Mary Taylor (1757-1820)

his mother was reportedly not Isabella Taylor but Ann Mumford (1718-1744) said to be buried in Clifton Burying Ground, NPT
his father Captain James Dixon (1734-1761) was 'lost at sea'

- from the handwritten geneology his great granddaughter put together in the 1930's-40's
