Is it possible that this Mary Chilson was the youngest daughter of the chilson a who traveled to the New World in 1620 aboard the Mayflower? The Chilson daughter was named Mary. Any information please let me know. This Mary Clilson is my 10th great grandmother.

Hi! I just found this website and I am intrigued. My last name is Chilson. The apocryphal story in my family is that one of my father's ancestors came to America soon AFTER the Mayflower. "They missed the boat and swam after it."

I can't vouch for the accuracy of this...

Very interesting! I am thinking that the Mary who was the daughter of the founding Chilson would have changed her name when married. I am doubtful that this is THE Mary Chilson. I am trying to attack the Chilson line from the 1620s forward.
