Hello! Does anyone have information about Richard E. Clampitt? I have found the birth date of 1720, in Scotland, and he married Nova Jordan (from Scotland). They had a son Richard Edward Clampitt, born 1748 in Scotland?, and died in Kernersville, NC.
I am of this family line, but am unable to find any information about his parents or how he arrived in Scotland.

I am descended from him too and I can find nothing else on Richard Everett either. Richard Edward Clampitt was born in Delaware though. My maiden name is Clampitt. I am from Richard and Gemina Matthews line. Which line are you from? Sharon Boyd

I am from the line of William C Clampitt and Ruth Johnson.. William was born in 1776. One of his sons (in my line) was George Clampitt, who married Mahala Swaim. They had a son named William Franklin Clampitt (b1849-d1883). William Franklin married Anna Smith. She was pregnant with their son William Meredith (born 1884), when William Franklin died in 1883. William Meredith kept the family name and married Lola. Their son Benjamin Franklin (born 1928-) is my dad.
