This gentleman was the dad of Hendel Aaron Dreyer. She in turn was the wife of Wolf Simon Dreyer, the mom of Abraham Wolf Dreyer and the paternal grandma of Jacob Abraham Dreyer - the grampa of my dad Klaus Jacob Dreyer.

I noted that It was traditional to give the son as second name the name of his father. THis was NOT true in the case of my dad.

Note that Itzig Aaron was given the title in 1741 of SCHUTZJUDE by the local ruler (in Hebrew : ABIR). This was done - per the writing of my dad - by the Graff of Kaunitz. It remains to explain/study:

1) SCHUTZJUDE which translates into 'protected Jew'. There was a middle ages custom where Jews were given protection if and when they paid considerable amounts on a yearly basis. The web has more about this.

2) Graff is a German word for certain nobility and there is more to learn.
