Some information worth sharing:

It seems that Jamaica has been, on occasion mistaken for Nigeria. As a new found friend and collaborator explained. In Nigeria is a town called Bwi, in the State of Kebbi and near the border of the State of Sokoto. If any of those names have you scratching your head for the connection, check first to see if Bwi wasn't intended to be BWI.

Before 1956 Jamaica was British territory and it's designation was Jamaica, BWI, for British West Indies. Enter Bwi in a place of birth (etc.) field, and you may come up with Nigeria automatically as a computer match. Bring that from another tree and you may have lost your explanation too.

Can you imagine the headaches of lost mail with automatic address readers like the PO uses today? It's a good thing Jamaica earned independence before the computer era.

Do I need to tell you that I don't remember numbers well? It was 1962, not 1956 that Jamaica became an independent nation.
