I have a PDF of a Journal article (in German) published in 2008 that deals with the history and fate of Jewish officers and soldiers in Saxony, with some emphasis on the Nazis' treatment of members of the association of Jewish soldiers who had fought in front line units in WWI. The article contains a number of short biographies.

I will be glad to e-mail this PDF to persons who are interested in this subject. I regret that I do not have the time for translation.

Dear Oliver
My maternal grandfather was an active member of this organization and I would be most interested in obtaining a copy of this article.
Please send it to jack.klaber@gmail.com
I'll see if I can translate it into English....

Dear Oliver: My husband's father, Jacob Sherman, was a soldier in WWI.
There was a previous discussion/project I believe on Jewish soldiers in WWI.
I had posted that it was "b'sheret" he lived a long wonderful life dying in 1978 @ the age of 86.
A bullet had passed through his helmet...just narrowly making it deadly!
Thanks for forwarding the PDF for us. I will show my husband Richard Dennis Sherman. shermans@theforgotten.com Marcia
