Can anyone give me advise on tracing possible family or information
regarding Kurt Felix Gratland the son of Felix Peter Gratland and Edith
Marie Hendreiksen. He was born in 1933 in Bo i Vesteraalen. He married
my oldest sister Carol Bakke on 26 Dec 1956 in Vancouver, British
Columbia, Canada. He was a fisherman by trade and was lost at sea in
1963. His ship in which he was commercially fishing on gave a distress
signal during a storm of the coast of Vancouver. They never did return
and no wreckage or sign of the ship was ever found. We do not know if
he had brothers or sisters or if his parents are still alive. We are
currantly gathering information for a family history book and would like
to include something about Kurt and his family. He may have had an
Uncle Hugo but we are not certain. Carol and Kurt named their son Hugo
Lawrence and remembers Kurt saying it was after his Uncle but we have no
prove of this. Any help would be appreciated.
