The more I study this tree, the more I suspect the presence of "ghost" offspring.
The sole importance of this profile is that he is *supposedly* the father of Philemon Waters "Sr." - except, he wasn't. This matter is explicated by a Chancery lawsuit which enumerates the descendants of William Waters Sr and Dorothy Marriott: not a Philemon among them. (There is also a marked shortage of Thomases.) http://jeanday1.tripod.com/Waters_William_Sons_Lawsuit.htm
I believe "Thomas Waters, Sr." Thomas Waters, Sr., supposedly his (half-) brother, to be another "ghost" profile for the same reason.
I even have reason to doubt the existence of Thomas "Clarke" Waters, Thomas Waters, Sr. whom I accepted earlier - but the more I investigate, the more improbabilities I find. (And we have another, certainly bogus, "Philemon Waters" as his grandson.)
