Coley Family Tree

Am attempting to gather info on lineage. Believe I have a great grandfather by the name of Guilford Ernest Coley (1807-1887). Know that he married a Mary Elizabeth Turner of Nash County, NC in 1836 and that is about where the trail dims. It has been reported that he was born in Franklin County (either NC or VA) but have been unable to nail down anything definite. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
