This is new information for me. Julia or Julie Brideau was my grandmother, her sister is Olive. Julia was married to my grandfather Samuel Comeau so were Samuel and Joseph brothers? That would mean sisters married brothers? Which I know is quite common.

Nope, Samuel and Joseph seem to be distant relatives. There are a lot of Comeaus. But you're right, it's not uncommon for sisters to marry brothers!

Oh I see. I didn't think Samuel had a brother named Joseph but then again, a lot of times they went by their Catholic name.
