Ok, I was maybe a little brisk. My name is Theresa Lynn Ficenec McCulloch.
Lucy Jane Bays was my mother's mother. In other words my Grandmother. Grandma's husband was Harley Lester Bays or Grandpa. They had a total of 5 children.
Lennie Marie Meadows, Earl Pierce Meadows, Lola Violet Meadows, Virgill Lester Meadows, Audrey Irene Meadows, or as I called her MOM. Lennie married Earl Harold McNall and was always call Marie or Aunt Marie. She did not care for the name Lennie. Earl married Iola and they had twins. Arnold who was a foot postman, and Arlene who married Jack Laskaris and had two boys and a girl. Lola married a Robert Phillips and they had a boy named Robert who became an Optometrist, and girl, named Dorothy who married Jerry Thorpe. Virgil married Sylvia who gave birth to daughter Donna. Audrey, the youngest of the Meadows, married Charles,(Jack or C.B.)Ficenec. My sister is Patricia and she is 13 years older than I. She is 75 yrs. of age. She has been married to Ron Rogers for 56 years and the have 5 childre of their own WOW!!! I will gladly help with any more updates and information if you would like. I do love my family history!
... and the question remains ... why are you logged into Geni as a Lucy Jane Bays when you are really Theresa Lynn Ficenec McCulloch? From your note it reads that Lucy Jane Bays is probably long deceased (grandmother of a 75-year old sister of yours).
We'd love for you to help get this portion of the World Family Tree straightened out, but there are two things that would be helpful:
1) 'Speak' as yourself, not as another person. (i.e.: not as your grandmother!)
2) When you refer to people that have profiles already on Geni, please post a specific link to the person in question, so there is no ambiguity about that. To "post a link" you need to copy the "URL" for that profile (there are a couple of ways to get that, depending on the way your web browser is set up, but it is a string that begins with "http: // www . geni . com /" and them some other stuff, ending with a long number.
I do not find many of the people on Geni that you mention, so I'm not sure what you mean by "this tree ... is incorrect".
A suggestion:
Since you have all ready added your sister as your sister(!), just edit your current profile so that it is your real name, not your grandmother's. That will be simplest and least confusing!
Simply click on this link to go edit your profile: http://www.geni.com/profile/edit_basics
Then you can commence adding to your family tree until one of your ancestors 'matches up' with an existing Geni profile -- then you can "get connected" and work on detailing what you know and/or have records of, and expanding the family-branches out further.
Let us know if you need more specific assistance once you have fixed up your 'profile name' and started adding more 'ancestors'.
There are a few things that you will likely find helpful; in particular, change your "Name Preferences"! I suggest setting "Show middle names" and "Birth surname appended, in parentheses" -- those two make things much easier to verify you are 'looking at' the correct person! Name Preferences are part of your account settings, and can be seen at: http://www.geni.com/account_settings/name_preferences
