In emails with the Author of the Mangum book, he had indicated that connecting Jesse Mangum into the Mangum tree had not really been accomplished. This was a while ago, but I believe he also said that some genetic testing of Jesse Mangum lineage had not matched Mangum lineage. My mother was a Mangum through this line. But between Ben Ellis and Jesse, maybe she wasn't!
