Betsy was a Mangum with no record of marrying a Mangum, so the "wife of unknown Mangum" is probably not accurate. I believe she had children by Benjamin Ellis but those children retained their Mothers family name of Mangum. Later she married Veazey and those children carried the Veazey name.
