The Hauteville family line is wrong. Can anyone help me figure out how to fix this?
Tancred is supposedly my 30th great grandfather, but his father is listed as Roger de Tancred born c.1171- died c.1194 and it says he's my 31st great grandfather---which is impossible. When I researched the tree further and found 3 generations of errors on this tree, I tried to figure it our using Google references, but it's all a big mess!
My 27th great grandfather appears to be correct- Tancred Guiscard, seigneur de Hauteville c. 970-1041. However, I later found him listed as the father of Robert 'le Guiscard' de Hauteville, duc d' Apuli (or duca di Puglia) born c. 1015....impossible!
I am hopelessly confused and losing confidence in Geni information.
