sent invitations

Hello can anyone assist me in a situation? I have sent two invites to two different people and they both have had trouble with geni letting them accept and access it. Are there any problems in this area? Or is it something we are doing wrong? Any help is appreciated! Thanks!

I'm just guessing that they are required to open a basic account to access your tree.

Roger, - that would create duplicate profiles.
It is better that they accept the invitations Jana sent them to get connected to the existing profile in Jana's tree.

Jana Denice Tubbs, what is the error message they get?

Is it from Geni or is it restrictions on heir computer/network?

A general advice: Never invite people to their job email because many companies have network restrictions which might cause problems for using Geni, and also because companies dislike private use of their emails.

I took a look on your list of invited people, and the general issue I see om some of the accounts is that they have just accepted the invitation, but have never entered their account settings to set a permanent password, making the profile fully claimed. You identify not-fully claimed accounts by still seeing a manager listed on their profile, and if family you can still edit their profile.

She realized she had already set up an email and that's why it kept her from signing up.... lol.... User error... but thanks for.the info! This is good to know for future references!!!!!! The other ones I have invited aren't too interested in our family history... which I don't understand.. lol.. but again thanks a lot!!!!!!! :)
