In the year 1821 George and Robert Logan emigrated from the County of Monoghan Ireland and settled in Nissouri Township(Ontario, Canada).

Robert on their(purchased) lot and George on a lot formed by Johnnie, some five or six years later. The other brothers followed namely Edward, Wlliam and Richard.

William settled on the south side of the ??? village of Thorndale, Lot 15 and Robert some years later purchased 50 acres on the North side of Thorndale, bought from a man by the name of Harrison.

Richards four daughters arrived from Ireland with their husbands and family in 1844. They were married in Ireland to James Fox, James Dawson, James Hart and John Dinsmore and all settled near the Logan settlement.
