I have spent many hours researching the Mead family line, I have come to the conclusion that there is a Francois Demede who was born in England however, I do not think he is part of the ,Mede or De Mede family. I am using these sources www.ancestry.com, www,geni.com, www.worldvitalrecords.com and can see conflicting date for the same names except Francois . I also went to a site www.Genea.net for France and located a Fransois Demede, not sure where he belongs. Now there is a Richard Mede born 1080 -1173 and Richard Mede born 1173-1200, Richard Mede 1200-1237 and the an adam de la Mede comes into the mess.1230-1307. The other issue I see is the names of women in the mix be very careful when you are looking for them to type exactly the way you see it very few Mede women in the beginning of this family until 1444 when Philip had a daughter Isabel, his wife name is Isabel Sharpe. I am so happy we somewhere donw the line stopped naming our children the same name as ours. Good Luck and please keep in touch.
