Beautiful....found Seth, wife May and Affable (Affie).....
Have inquiries to Find a grave regarding Bessie A. Baldwin Sumner (she is NOT recorded in CC Baldwin...but MAY be a 2nd Elizabeth (1st died as child).
Also have made inquiry regarding the E.E. Baldwin (no dates, no headstone) of Find a grave.
Often, I have found, they have additional info in their files that help to hone in.
You are 1 sharp cookie.......MANY thanks.
Regarding your response "Bessie A. Baldwin Sumner": who do you think her parents are?
I do have some records to verify online misc.
Last April visited Rockhill Cemetery in Foxboro and was pleasantly surprised to locate Seth & Mary with daughters.
I have information on EE Baldwin:
Married 27 March 1880 to Juana Maria Gonzales, Fresno Co., CA
Died Nov 30, 1919, buried Dec. 1919. Died and buried in Lemoore.
Juana divorced EE Baldwin and married Pete Soto.
I have lots of information on EE Baldwin family. I am willing to coordinate with you.
Who are you a descendant of??? : )
Joseph of Milford & Hadley (1609), to son Joseph, to son Joseph, to David (1701), to Zebluon, to Jabez, to Zebulon, to Harrison, to Harrison Peck, to Harrison Copp, to ME.
I tend to cast far and wide....so while I have found the links from Nahum, to Seth, etc... they are all part of HENRY of Woburn's family.....
I track and follow a number of the trees.
So Nahum is my 9th cousin thrice removed....
Regarding Bessie: Awaiting an answer from Find a grave...they are mostly researchers also (sometimes related) and usually have additional info in their files....she could be a cousin or such....
I also made inquiry to Find a grave on E.E. Baldwin, they had no photo of headstone and no dates at all....so I really need more to confirm that HE is the person in that cemetery....ince there are other Baldwin's....
I do NOT doubt that you have info on Ephraim E. Baldwin....I just need to confirm that it is indeed he at that cemetery location....
I will see if I can find anything on familysearch to confirm that Elizabeth or Bessie, dau. of Seth and Mary, married Edwin Sumner...
It is the LINK from husband to parents that is necessary....
There are way too many Baldwin families that resided close to one another in Massachusetts to be sure which family she came from with what I have so far.
Bessie A. Baldwin was daughter of George Baldwin and Almira Jane Keith. She was born in New Haven, Addison Co., Vermont on Feb. 4, 1836. She married Edwin J. Sumner on Feb. 2, 1873 in Foxboro, Massachusetts. He was son of Jonathan & Susan Sumner.
They show in the 1900 census: Edwin (69, b MA), and wife Bessie A. (64 VT) in Foxboro, Norfolk Co., Mass. w ch.
Regarding EE Baldwin in Lemoore cemetery.
It is definitely him. His son, Oliver, is buried in same plot.
Daughter Alva is buried in cemetery, also.
Two other children might be buried there. The cemetery does not have enough information to confirm. I am in process of verifying through other records.
EE Baldwin was my grandmother's father. We have photos, lots of family stories.
Ephraim Elliott Baldwin was born 10/3/1841 in New Haven, Franklin Co., Maine...
In 1900 he resided in Lemoore, Kings Co., Calif.:
Ephren (59 ME), and wife Mary (38 CA); in Lemoore, Calif. w ch. Eddie (19), Johnie (17), Josie (16), Lottie (14), Ben (12), Oliver (10), Idre (9), Alva (7) and Alonzo (2). Children all born California.
He was a balcksmith, as was son Eddie..
He is probably the Epraim, Ephriam, etc spellings that is shown in the Great California Register for several locations (with his vocation he would be very valuable in the mining camps.).
He was aged 37 when he married Juana Maria Gonzales (aged 17) on 3/27/1880 in Fresno, Calif. so am not sure if son Eddie is by Juana or not...or any of the others...
OK....Juana= Mary....YES 1900 census: under Ephren Baldwin (born 10/1841 MAINE).
You were right on Nahum pob....I HAD New Sharon,,,,I said New Haven (different counties in Maine.
Children of Nahum: Albion b 4/6/1858-5/12/1858........Albert 1/23/1864-4/27/1864.........Eddie 9/22/1866-12/20/1866...
All events in Calif.
......
Emma: in 1900 census for Augustus Baldwin...She and husband George in Peachtree....she was born 9/1859 in Illinois.
Emma: in 1910 census for Augustus ...aged 51; George is there
Emma: in 1930 census: aged 70, with George and brother John in Peachtree.

Found it.....you go girl!
Their profiles are all updated, with the memorial headstone attached to each.
...
Ephraim's children are set up....and will be uploading the 1900 census....but leaving the exact dates of birth open for your data....
Have the print outs of the FAG memorials on those that appear to be Ephraim's...
...
Also notified the FAG researcher in Foxboro, Mass. of Bessie Baldwin Sumner's parents, husband etc...
Hopefully he/she will add the info to the memorial so that future errors are not made....
As I said, there were slews of Baldwins all over the State of Mass....as well as everywhere else in New England....Maine, New Hampshire, Vermont, Connecticut......my own also was abundant in New York, Ohio, etc.
Nahum and Ann...and Augustus are already updated.....with the FAG memorials.
Need date of death on Ephraim (this is the proper spelling of his name)....and dates better than the 1900 census on his children....I have all the Baldwins in the Lemoore Cemetery...as well as Alva's husband and son...
Just need better dates WITH place of birth...some are less than informative....
Will contact the researcher of E.E. Baldwin about the memorial as soon as I have a date of death to impart to him/her....have date of birth and location.
Thanks for your info.
.
She divorced him after ALL those children? Whew.
Your post of 5:49 pm is a bit confusing.
EE Baldwin death and burial date in my second post, above.
Verified by funeral home and county records.
What does " will contact the research of EE Baldwin about the memorial" mean?
What is the information you have on Alva's son? I thought he was buried in Kern Co., CA
We knew Alva and family. They were a lot of FUN!!! So much laughter.
OK...missed the date of death on EE Baldwin....was in the same area as Bessie...will make note.
I am signed up on the FREE Find a grave site and often will make inquiry to the rsearcher and ask questions or provide additional data to them...they most often will update the memorial to show the additional information..
Lastly, I did not have any info on Alva or children....prior to yesterday...I was referring to Herbert Eugene Rose (son of Richard Rose and Alva N. Baldwin Rose)...buried in Los Angeles National Cemetery, LA, Calif...he was a Lt. Col US Air Force....headstone says born 1916 but they make note that his death certif and WWII enlistment records say he was born 1918..
So I will contact the Find a grave researcher about Ephraim Edelbert Baldwin with parents (and their memorial numbers)...his birth date and location...death date....etc.
Sorry for the confusion...
:-)
OOPS....Ephraim Elliott Baldwin....(sorry, I'm working 6 different family questions from other people at the same time).....this old brain gets cross-wired at times)
I would like to get more info on Ephraim's children...
P.S. My records and tracking go back TO Henry or Woburn, Mass and further..so if you are traveling UP....I probably have info..
CC Baldwin was very good...and may have single-handedly saved the fledgling US Post Office....he had a team of compilers to go thru the mounds of mail he sent to families....and he also traveled extensively to meet with many personally and copy info from their family bibles and talk with them and write down what they said about their parents, siblings, children....as with most families there may be some wishful thinking (which he noted) and some slight errors in info...but he reported what he was provided with.....since his book...and its supplement.were printed late 1800's....I have worked to 'prove' a lot of his information and to add to the tree....update it....as records (LDS etc) are available.....
I have been working to provide entry points for other researchers....and enjoy working with people such as yourself...that help continue trees and update (clarify) info that I may only have little data on...
So...I greatly appreciate your help...and if you are going UP or crosswise...I DO try to obtain data on siblings of people.
::-)
