Samuel Hoskins - Help with Hoskins Lineage

Samuel Hoskins, I b.1680 is linked to Thomas Hoskins, Sr. as his son. It seems as though a merge took place at some point between a profile suggesting a father's name of Thomas (no further info) with Thomas Hoskins b.1768. This can't be correct as the dates are really off but I can't seem to disconnect the two (split the tree error). If any someone can help with this issue it would be greatly appreciated!
