merging trees

I had someone that is not a family member but they made a family tree on geni so that they could merge their tree with mine and know I have people in my family tree that is not part of my family .how can I fix this and if I cant I will close my account

I believe you mean "now I have" not "know I have" -- what I am not sure of - do you mean you now have folks who are relatives of your relatives (ie legitimately connected, even tho not in your family) connected and attached to your tree -- or is it a totally bogus connection?

if the former, not sure that there is anything you can do about it. But there may be details I am not visualizing - so again, you can try the discussion I mention above.

If you do decide to close your account -- be aware closing your account removes you, not the material you have entered - and if others are now connected to your profile/your tree, they may well become the manager of your tree / profiles you added - so do not rush to close the account.
