Just to bring attention to the above data - William (1533 - 1568) could not be the father of Joseph b. 1645! Perhaps an incorrect merger caused this mixup; can anyone fix it?

Good catch Carol. Because its a single managed profile & the manager is active, can you use "contact manager" to point out the problem? A pro (including you) can disconnect the impossible parent for her.

Perhaps a missing generation or 3 is in play here ...

I actually did try to do that, but when I went to the Edit section, it does not give me the option to click on relationiships. But, I have now sent a mesasage to the profile manager!

Hey my name is Kay Cockerham. I think I know what you are looking at. One of my Dad's cousin has been putting that together. I saw the mis match and wondered about it myself. Her name is Aileen Terrell. I could not find the missing link in there or the generation that was possibly missed. This is where I left off..... Do you know anything about it?

I have copies of the tree she put together, if you need to see them.

Wilma can you maybe do a little text here of what she was doing?

Something simple like

X, son of Y & Z, born / died, married A, daughter of B & C, born / died

For say 3 generations ? (Grandparents, parents, children)

A 3rd party source guide would be really perfect to straighten out the tree with. And you can post her Ancestry tree link, I'd be able to view it.

Thanks for your help.

Kay, I haven't been able to get back this far in my research....was looking for another William Cockerham actually when I saw this one. I wish I could help. but I'm really only back to the 1700's with my line and still working on better documentation for it. I'm not on Ancestry so can't see that tree...
