So far very sketchy --this is from the Dept of veterans affairs, Dad enlisted (not drafted), on March 15th 1945; he was not assigned to any branch of the military. He was 29 when he enlisted, married with 2 children ( me and sister Joanne)he was placed in the "old man"division. His civilian occupation was skilled miner nand mining machine operator.
