To Whom It May Concern,
This discrepancy has existed since the time of my great-grandfather. I humbly submit evidence from the Huntress family webpage:

The correct lineage for the relatives attributed to James Willard (1778) here belong with James Clark Willard, son of Clark Willard, son of Isaac and brother of James, Sr. The geni.com page for James Clark Willard is here:
James Clark Willard
Since I am not a Pro member, I don't have full permissions to move this information. I do consider it to be a proper correction though, as this James Willard (1778) is my great-great-great-great-grandfather. Our geneaology lists him as James E. Willard, and he was a farmer who relocated to Halifax, VT. There is a tombstone there indicating his death in 1867, and lineage all the way down to today. I am still compiling dates, etc, and hope to post them shortly, but hopefully we can get the current information here cleared up first. Thank you for your interest in tracing the correct history of our family.
Sincerely,
Brian Willard
