You have probably figured out by now that Geni is a collaborative effort. When a mistake is found, whoever finds it should try to correct it. Over time, this leads to highly accurate profiles, especially when people upload source documents.

Apart from family knowledge the marriage certificate of Emily and Ernest shows Ernests father to be George and his mother Margaret nee Smith.
Entry can be found in the New Zealand register of marriages folio 7714 for the year 1910.
