In my family tree searching I have found Andres Perrson or anglicised Andrew Peter Quist : born June 14, 1841 in Rinkaby, Kristianstad, Skane, Sweden; died Feb. 28, 1916 in Anoka, Anoka, Minnesota, USA; buried in Minneapolis Pioneers and Soldier Memorial Cemetery, Minneapolis, Hennipin, Minnesota.

Father: Pehr Nilsson Quist or anglicized Per Nelson Quist 1812 - 1899

Mother: Karna Hakansdotter Trulson 1814 - 1899.

Then I found A. P. Quist: died Jul. 27, 1914, Burial in Grafton, Walsh, North Dakota.

Are they both the same person with errors in their history?

Both have Find a Grave Indexes with different burial and death dates.

Hi Grace,
I just saw this as I was looking at some other information. A. P. is my 2nd Great Grandfather through his eldest son George Edward Quist & George's first child Hazel Adeline Quist (My Grandmom). Hazel lived with us all my life & I got to visit Grafton, North Dakota quite a bit with family. George was deceased before I was born however I did spend time with his wife, my great grandma, Annie Olson Quist. I know that A. P. lived with George & Annie in Grafton , ND after his wife Mary died. A.P. moved from Grafton later to the Old Soldiers Home in Minneapolis, where he died Jul 27, 1914 & the body was shipped to Grafton for burial. There's a Quist family area there. The headstone is for A.P. & Mary & it refers to A.P.being in the First Minn Volunteer Infantry. (He did go by A. P.)
Where did you find info that he died Feb 28, 1916 in Anoka & was buried in Mpls Pioneers & Soldier Memorial Cemetery? There were other Quist relatives that lived in Anoka & I know there were at least a couple other Andrews, but I know for a fact that A. P. who was in the first Minnesota Volunteer Infantry & served in the Civil War (company B) is the one buried in Grafton, North Dakota. Gosh I can hear them all talking now with their accents! What fun. Hope this helps.
