Just a quick question for curators. If one subscribes to Geni Pro, does that allow access to MyHeritage records too, or does one have to subscribe to MyHeritage separately?

Lee - There are THREE separate types of Subscriptions - to Geni, to MyHeritage, and to MyHeritage's Data Subscription.

Neither a subscription to Geni Pro nor a subscription to MyHeritage' Premium Account will give you access to MyHeritage's records. For that you need a subscription to MyHeritage's Data Subscription. (to buy it directly from MyHeritage, rather than thru Geni, you would have to first create a MyHeritage Account - but you do not need a Premium Account (pay) - Free Account will do. Think if buy the Data Subscription from Geni's Ad, it automatically creates the Free Account for you on MyHeritage with same e-mail as you use in Geni, as well as ).

I believe Lois said this exactly right. Record Matches & SmartMatches in Geni work with the data subscription to MyHeritage. I have a tree on MyHeritage with exactly one profile - me - for my login. I could of course upgrade my MH account for other benefits if I chose. (one tree is enough for me!)

Thanks Lois and Erica! I have a MyHeritage account for login purposes only, so will try to sign up for the MyHeritage Data Subscription and see if I have any luck ...
