My father Nikola Antunovich ,His mother was Frana Antunovich Who was Ivan Antunovich's 1st wife after her death he then married her sister Kate who became his 2nd wife , Dad's Stepmother / Aunty.

Got that - Frana & Kate are sisters now

I think the cause of the confusion is that Ivo & Ane are shown to have 7 daughters whereas that had only 6. Frana &Frane are the same. There is some confusion as to her birth date (1891 or 1894) . There were certainly 2 daughters called Mare . The first died in an accident when she came to close to an open Fire and her dress caught Fire .. This happened in 1897 when she was about 4 years old. The last daughter was also called Mare. She died in 1992 aged about 93.

I have used the form Frane because my mother insisted that was the way her name Was. spelled. Frane is used in preference to Frana in this part of Dalmatia.

I think this solves the problem
Labelling the profile with a Croatian alternative is incorrect
My Mother Frane insisted that her name was Frane not Frana. This is supported by both her baptismal certificate & passport on which she entered New Zealand in 1939. Her mother , Kate shared the same passport.

All the females in this family are mentioned in legal documents dated 1919 & 1923 which I have in my possession. They are referred to as Frane,Kate, Mare & Ane

I am positive I can find documents where Frane is refered as Frana.
'Labelling the profile with a Croatian alternative is incorrect' she was born in Croatia - dont see how using Croatian standardised version could possibly be incorrect.

I recomend using a system developed by late prof Nenad Vekaric where standardised Croatian version is used alondside of local/most common one.

You are right
The standardised Croatian version connect the person with his/her identity as it was in whichever jurisdiction they llived in be that Austro Hungarian Empire , either of the two Yugoslavias or the present.

My great grandmother & her daughter Dome are listed in the land registry for Duba as Ana Petrović rodj Petrović & Doma Petrović.

It should be time to update my great great grandmother’s profile to Mande Cibilić the identity she had during life.
Her death would have been recorded in the parish of Donja Vručica I am unable to access these records on line

Thank you for clarifying this issue.

Correction Ana Petrović rođ Cibilić

Not sure what needs to be updated for geni.com/people/Ane-Petrović/6000000020450891541 ?

It would be good to get some better records for Peljesac. I live in Orebic for few months every year and know the place well but Private User understands better where the records are.

No further update for Ane /Ana Petrovič.
In the current Croatian system Ana . She is listed in the current land registry as Ana, She still owns a parcel of land !!
