19. THOMAS S.5 WEBB (EDMUND BASEY4, THOMAS3, JOHN2, JAMES1) was born 1812 in Brunswick County, Virginia, and died Bef. 1854. He married SARAH GRIGG CHAMBLISS Abt. October 12, 1835 in Mecklenburg County, Va, daughter of JOHN CHAMBLISS and JANE RIDEOUT. She was born 1809, and died July 1853.
Notes for THOMAS S. WEBB:
Thomas occupation was farmer and during the 1840's had about 10 slaves to help on the farm. He died in the early 1850's, before 1854, as recorded in the will of his father Edmund Webb. (per notes of Carl Anderson, Dec 1997)
In 1850 Census it is noted that the Webb's (Edmund B.'s family of which Thomas was a son) lived next to the Chambliss family. This may have been where Sarah and Thomas met.
