1) Married x Helena Wilhelmina ten Damme (his step sister)
2) Hendrik Swellengrebel, GOEWERNEUR aan die KAAP wsa getroud met die suster van sy opvolger, Ryk Tulbach,

Both these messages appear on his profile, and, it seems to me both are incorrect - but all the incestuous tangles might have got me confused too, so can someone double check me?

I think
1) He married his stepmother's sister (not her daughter)
2) Ryk Tulbagh married Hendrik's sister, (not the other way around.)

Tulbagh was married to Elisabeth Swellengrebel, b4, sister of Hendrik, b1.

And if you look at the marriage dates, it isn't Hendrik who marries his stepmother's sister; it's Johannes Swellengrebel who marries his daughter-in-law's older sister.
