I am one of 13 grandchildren of Gladys Booth. I remember my darling nan very very well. She looked after our family in very difficult times and am especially pleased to find it that her name is still remembered. She was a very special human being. I am a son of Evelyn Gladys Kendall and Brian Francis O'Connell. Evelyn was the eldest of 3 children, sister, Norma Lutton and brother Allan Kendall.

Thanks Kevin,

Lovely to hear from you. Like you, I have wonderful grandparents (got to know all four, which I now realise is quite special) and love to have them commemorated here.

As you probably already know, we are not at all closely related, as Geni tells me that your Nan:

Gladys Kendall is Michele Jurlina's second great uncle's first cousin once removed's wife's first cousin's wife's sister. ie.

Me → Marilyn Jurlina your mother → Arline Tasik her mother → Harold Sherwood her father → Bessie Thompson his sister → Earl Thompson her husband → Albert Thompson his father → Louisa Thompson his mother → Edward Bailey her brother → Cyrus Bailey his son → Edith Bailey his wife → Henry Ingold her father → George Ingold his brother → Jesse Ingold his son → Dorothy Ingold his wife → Gladys Kendall her sister.

Cheers,
Michele

My husband is the grandson of Louis Kendall who was the eldest child of Benjamin Kendall's first marriage to Eva Seinor. You are descended from Benjamin's brother Thomas. You should be able to access our branch of the tree and see I have typed up quite a bit about Benjamin and his brother Thomas who came to Australia from Scotland to seek their fortunes in their early 20s. My email is: linda@peek.ws
