I have searched and searched, but can NOT find the father of Joshua Johnson (born 1792 , Vesailles, Wood (?) Co. Kentucky). Does anyone have a clue??

Can you set his wife to public? (she's set to private so I can't see anything).

I'm nibbling at little bit at Kanawha, West Virginia families, some of whom migrated to Ohio. Developing a regional approach to related families is time consuming but can offer clues that reveal nuggets ...

Is he likely to have been English or Scots Irish?

I do not know how to set his wife to "public" -- He would most probably be Scots-Irish.
