I have been trying to review the original sources to determine whether Magdalena Klock Bellinger, the wife of Lt. John Bellinger who died at the Battle of Oriskany in 1777, is the daughter of Hendrik Klock (1668- ) or his son Johan Honorick (Henry) Klock (1693- ). So far, based on my review and the dates involved, it appears much more likely that she is the daughter of the Johan Honorick (Henry) Klock (1693- ) and the granddaughter of Hendrick Klock (1668- ),

David W. Klock has made an extensive review of the sources and reaches the same conclusion.

However, he has an interesting note:
Hendrick Klock had two daughters, Barvalis (Barbara) Klock who married Christian Nellis. and may have had a daughter,
Magdalene who married William Nellis. Doubt exist if Magdalene Klock married William Nellis. It is now believed that
William Nellis married Ana Sabina Dygert and not Magdalene Klock, Magdalene may have married Lt. John Bellinger. The
"Genealogy of the Mohawk Valley Bellingers and Allied Families by Lyle Frederick Bellinger", says that Hendrick Klock had
three daughters; Barvalis, who married Christian Nellis; Margaret who married William Nellis; and Maria Magdalena who
married Lt. John Bellinger. Willis "Skip" Barsheid, has the original will of William Nellis, found in a box of papers he
purchased from a descendent, unfortunately this Will does not shed light on who the wife of William Nellis really was. .

One way to reconcile the issue is that Hendrick Klock, Sr. may also have had a daughter Magdalena who married Wiillam Nellis and died before Nellis married @Ana Sabina Dygerd.
