Recent DNA testing proved that this family of Kendrick has very close genetic ties to Kendig bloodlines that are German/Swiss in origin. Edom Kendrick was a soldier in the American Revolution and probably born about 1735 or slightly later. He followed his sons to Cocke County, TN from the Shenandoah valley.
