Identifying military uniforms

I have put a photo on the Geni site of Florian Schnurer (public profile), born 1823 in Bohemia, died in Teresowka, Dolina district, Galicia, Austria ... I am attempting to find out where the uniform is from, approximate years, etc. .. I would like to attempt to locate his military records but firstly need to clarify other information..

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

You forgot to link to the profile: Florian Schnurer or tagging the discussion to him by starting the discussion from the Discussions tab on his profile.

Anyhow he is tagged now.
The uniform, http://media.geni.com/p13/eb/99/b5/50/5344483a44780683/florian_schn... seem to be an ordinary field uniform/battle-dress which might be difficult to identify.

Parade uniforms are always easier to identify...

Hello Bjorn,
Thank you for your response & also for the tip as to how I should have started the discussion... Must admit that I'm still a novice where some things are concerned on this site ....
My guess is that Florian was in the Austrian-Hungarian army out of Bohemia now Czech Repubic, but I'll keep researching.
