Antoine Desrosiers - Forez and Renaisons

A little research on the web shows me that the Forez I have referred to as Antoine's birthplace was in fact a former province, corresponding to the central Loire department and a few areas on its borders ... therefore saying Renaison is his birthplace does not conflict, as Renaisons was within the old Forez province. I guess he was not a Burgundian after all, but instead a Provencal. Still quite unusual in a colony full of Bretons, Picards and Normans!

Okay; I've added it as an English footnote, as my Française de boîte de céréales is probably grossly inadequate. 8)
And Franco-Provencal turns out not to be Provencal proper at all. Another Romance language entirely. France was formerly full of little languages.
