William and Eliza Allexander came to Canada from England in the mid 19th century. Their son James was born in England 1831 and James married Christina Slack (born 1846 of American parents) in Dorchester, Ontario. The surname dropped an 'l' around 1881 and the family became the Alexanders. I would appreciate information on the Allexanders in England, when they came to Canada, and any information about Christina Slack.
