Donald Clayton - Don Clayton

Hi there Matt,

According to the path on my Don's profile, he is my second cousin thrice removed. After working it out, I believe that my third great grandfather, William Jackson, is the uncle of Donald's mother, Violet Jackson. Violet's mother was Anne Jackson, but I have no record of a father for Violet. Anne had four children.

According to the information I was given, Violet had two children, Donald (b. 1903) and Kingston (b. 1907) Clayton. Unfortunately, I have no records of a father for the two. Donald married Lucy Kennedy, but I do not know when. I have no record of children for them, but if he is your grandfather, the two obviously did have children. His brother Kingston married Olive Blanche and they had two children, Jenene and King. Going even further down the tree, Jenene had three children (born 1956; 1959; 1964). That is where my tree stops for that part of the family unfortunately.

I do hope I have helped you in some way. It would be great to hear back from you if you have any information I have missed.

Donald and Lucy had two children, both girls Patricia Mary (Shannon) dec & Janet Ann (Knight) dec . I am one of five children from David & Janet Knight, (Melanie, Miranda, Jeremy, Matthew & Daniel). Patricia married Keith Shannon, they have five children also, Lisa, Antony, Rory, Kimberley & Rebecca. I have the tree from the "clayton's" to present day. All I need to find out is the mysterious grandpa's name "donald clayton" :)

Wow! So you got both of the brothers names incorporated into yours.

Thank-you very much for the info above. I have added it to my tree for future reference. It's always great finding out more about the family, however far apart we all may be.
