William James Howard Trott, Sir - who are you

Sir William Trott had a sister Mabel who married Howard Mercer, who was the brother of my great grandfather. This is all of course what I've been told via my family's records, so the accuracy is up for discussion.

Thanks for replying. It has been said that family memories of who is who and what is what should not really be relied upon since different peoples memories of the same person and subsequent events may differ. The only real way to know people and know within yourself their life is to have met and lived in the same time. Since that cannot happen with relatives that have already lived and died we do have to rely on what other people say. The hard part is verifying what is true and what is not. Up until earlier this year I did not know much of my father s side of the family because he never spoke of them. But since I did meet some I have found out I have a whole bunch of relatives so its been good. I hope you and I can keep in contact from time to time. I still don't know if your a cousin or what relation you are to me. Do you know?
