Only Jonatan himself can allow a merge of his own profile. I would guess you would protest loudly if anyone had access to your own profile.
You can of course ask him to accept a merge, but he has not been online since March, and the easiest solution is just to delete the duplicate because this set of profiles is deep into his privacy range.
The really big assumption Geni makes is that every member knows how to work the various features. I’ve been communicating with family members and other collaborators who just can’t seem to complete the merges in question. Add to that absentee or non responsive managers and the situation just grows that more complicated.
“the easiest solution is just to delete the duplicate”
Since I’m not the manager of either profile it’s not “easy”.
The merge command itself is here, but as I say: Why do you insist on merge into a user profile. It always creates trouble because it is only the user who can complete it and and all the domino-effect it creates, and if this is an inexperienced user is is way too much to ask for.

Go around is the solution.
For a relative with a claimed Profile - they can go to their Account settings - Permissions -- and click "Let my family edit my profile" -- if they have clicked that (AND if Geni has them as relative), then you can complete merges on their profile.
This may be easier to explain than talking them thru how to do a merge. However, if Geni does not see either of these Profiles as related to you, this will not work. (ie blood relationship is not good enough, the relationship has to show on Geni).
If Geni sees both as being related to you / 2nd cousins, then this will work and may well be worth doing to simplify the tree you see. If not, then give careful thought to Bjorn's comments.
